Another good memory of grandma was just before her decline. I had popped over to see her and Ruth and had mentioned I had made pancakes for breakfast. They both liked the sound of that so off I went to make my second batch of pancakes for the day! Having just made them I knew what I was doing but that didn’t stop to the two generations from getting involved and offering their expertise.. aka backseat driving! I was standing at the hob making these mini pancakes with Ruth in one corner and grandma in another. Grandma was sat on the edge of her seat with a fork in her hand waiting for me to need help or make a mistake so she could swoop in and take charge. It was so funny that the three generations all wanted to be in charge all at once. Grandma was wanting to be hostess right up to the very end!
